This set is one of my favorites of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. There are numerous scoring opportunities, as it is a combination of multiple actions. Xavier ran this set in their Sweet 16 game, against Arizona. The set resulted in a wide open three point attempt. South Carolina does an effective job running the "Nail Play" looking to get Sidarious Thornwell a quick look at an open 3. When the look isn't there, the offense continues with the Big-Big cross screen looking for a quick strike in the Post. The Boston Celtics ran this play after a timeout during the Christmas Day game against the New York Knicks. 1 passes to 2 on the pindown and follows for the handoff which is the typical action in this play. 5 walks into the post as 2 fakes the handoff and makes the pass to 3. The quick ball reversal 2 to 3 gives the offense a chance to catch the defense off guard for a post up or a drive on the weak side of the floor. See More

Geno Auriemma was supposed to be a re-building year after graduating Stewart, Tuck and Jefferson, All they've done to start this year is go 2-0. After a nail biting win over Florida State to open the season, the Lady Huskies knocked off the #2 team in the rankings Baylor. This play is a nice play to get Katie Lou Samuelson the ball off a shuffle cut, re-screen action. She cuts into the lane off Gabby Williams screen and then Williams quickly sets a second screen to free up Samuelson for a shot attempt. The UCONN Lady Huskies will be a team to reckon with yet again in Women's Basketball. See More

The play below is an example of a set that the Suns are running to get their third year center Alex Len an easy jump shot. Bledsoe brought the ball up the court and passed to TJ Warren and made a thru cut to the opposite wing. As Bledsoe cut thru the lane, Booker crossed paths with him on his way to set a screen for Len on the block, the ball is swung from Warren to Chriss and then to Bledsoe. As soon as Chriss made the pass he ran down to set a pin down screen to get Len open at the free throw line. The play was executed flawlessly and Len nailed the jumper. See More

He either comes off a flex screen into a post isolation situation, or he can set a flex screen for another wing and then come off a down screen on the opposite side for a jump shot. See More
