About This Play/Drill

What makes Chris Collins Offensive schemes at Northwestern are the multiple screening & cutting actions in each series.

The sets are designed to get action off the ball keeping the Defense occupied, forcing decisions in rotations which if to late, result in open shots.

This set has all those options included and is one of the best sets I've seen thus far in the NCAA Tournament.

1 (#30 McIntosh) executes a DHO with 2 (#20 Lindesey on the wing and then cuts into the paint as 5 (#5 Pardon) lifts to the elbow

On the weak side, 3 (#34 Lumpkin sets a down screen for 4 (#4 Law)
2 (#20 Lindsey) passes to 4 (#4 Law

3 (#34 Lumpkin) sets a low block screen for 1 (#30 McIntosh) who comes off for the pass

3 (#34 Lumpkin) flashes high to the elbow

On the pass to 4 (#4 Law), 5 (#5 Pardon) steps up to set a flare screen for a possible pass to 2 (#20 Lindsey) on the weak side
3 (#34 Lumpkin) steps up to set a UCLA screen for 4 (#4 Law) who cuts in and immediately pops back out reading his defender

1 (#30 McIntosh) passes to 4 (#4 Law) for the 3 pt shot

On the weak side once the pass is made to 4 (#4 Law), 5 (#5 Pardon) sets a wide pin down for 2 (#20 Lindsey) who comes off for a possible swing pass and shot
