The Boston Celtics ran this play after a timeout during the Christmas Day game against the New York Knicks. 1 passes to 2 on the pindown and follows for the handoff which is the typical action in this play. 5 walks into the post as 2 fakes the handoff and makes the pass to 3. The quick ball reversal 2 to 3 gives the offense a chance to catch the defense off guard for a post up or a drive on the weak side of the floor.
