09/18/2013This shooting drill is a great one because you only need 1 ball and 1 basket and can be done by yourself working out in your driveway, at the part, or in the gym! See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawWatching the Orlando Magic vs LA Lakers 2009 NBA Finals Game 4, I thought of this action out of an alignment Stan Van Gundy had at the end of regulation. If 2 is open on the initial stagger he is an option for a quick catch & shoot but the play is really run for the 3. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is our entry into the little-big back screen that the Utah Jazz used with John Stockton and Karl Malone back in the day. You may be able to get the ball to the 2 on the first basket cut, but more often than not the x5 defender will be sagging on the back screen, leaving 5 open to catch on the wing. If your 5 isn't a shooter, you may want to change up personnel to avoid allowing that defender to play off the ball and take away the entry to 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFrank Martin and the South Carolina Gamecocks use this basic motion format at times as part of their "Spread" attack. The Gamecocks usually play with four guards under Martin, although the motion sets itself okay if the 4 is also a big man. The idea of the offense isn't to penetrate the defense through dribbling, but through getting an overload on one side in order to clear the opposite for a two-man game. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWatching Game 6 of the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals between the Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Magic ran this set to get Rashard Lewis an isolation to score. Stan Van Gundy did a great job getting Lewis isolated on the wing with this action because on the drive if any help rotated he had Turkoglu, Lee, and Austin to kick out to for a shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Phoenix Mercury ran this play at last night vs the Chicago Sky at the end of the 4th quarter in an attempt to take the lead. As 1 came off the screen she had to option to pass to 3 coming off the stagger, throwback to 4, or attack the rim. She decided to pull up for a free-throw line jumper, which she missed. See More
