Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts out with "Utah" action that leads into a middle pick and roll and a flash to the elbow by the low post. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership, and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawClassic back door action from the Princeton offense. Double stack set and wing pass entry. 1 clears to opposite corner and 2 fills high. 3 dribbles hard at the right elbow as 4 walks his defender to the corner. 3 picks up the ball and forward pivots away from defender. This is cue for 4 to cut back door to receive pass from 3 for a lay up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a Box Set run by the Illini last night in their game against Indiana. A good set that incorporates the use of the ball screen to set-up a weak side double stagger freeing up their talented shooter Rice. The play doesn't end with the shot as the ball is reversed and what looks like a SPNR action turns into an open side penetration. Groce does a great job utilizing the box in their offensive system and this is a play with multiple scoring possibilities See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night in their buzzer beating loss to the UCONN Huskies, the Florida Gators ran this elevator play to revive their offense in the 2nd half. This is a play that ESPN Analyst Seth Greenberg talked about during the broadcast, breaking down the elevator screen. I drew the 5-1 pick in grey because it does not have to be added but is a nice tweak. In the event you need a 2 in this situation, a quick slip from 5 is also a nice option after setting the screen. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an offensive set that Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks ran in the 2012 National Championship game. I love this play because of the numerous scoring options tha are very simple to teach your players to run. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Louisville Cardinals do a good job using the flare screen in this set to get 2 an open look at the 3 pt shot. The set is run from a 2-3 set-up and uses good movement and screens to make the defense make decisions. Rick Pitino is excellent at designing plays to get his best players in their best spots to score. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawHigh Elbow Flash Action In this play Cameron Dollar hits Ed O'Bannon flashing to the ballside elbow to initiate the offense High Elbow Flash Action Toby Bailey cut backdoor staying wide looking for the pass from E. O'Bannon As Bailey is cutting to the basket: Cameron Dollar who took over for the injured Tyus Edney makes a direct cut to the basket and receives the pass from E. O'Bannon for his shot attempt The 5 man Georg Zidek did a good job stepping out giving space for the cut UCLA Curl Cut Action In this set, Toby Bailey ran the PG position Cameron Dollar (1) gets a backscreen from E. O'Bannon looking for a quick hit backdoor Charles O'Bannon (3) and Georg Zidek (5) exchange positions setting up the next action in this set UCLA Curl Cut Action Cameron Dollar (1) then sets a backscreen for E. O'Bannon who was wide open under the basket On the opposite side: Georg Zidek (5) set a downscreen for C. O'Bannon (3) who curled the cut as his defender was trailing Bailey chose to hit C. O'Bannon here, but this is a real good set to catch the defense in a "switching" situation See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Sideline out of Bounds play was run by the Utah Jazz under the leadership of Jerry Sloan. Sloan used a handoff/ downscreen curl simultaneously to get the ball into a cutting big man, who would usually get to the free throw line as a result of this play. There are many options for a layup or a shot in a very brief amount of action; all around one of the better side-out plays I've seen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play I saw the Chicago Bulls run in the 1998 Playoffs, particularly in their series against the Charlotte Hornets. The idea was to get Jordan the ball and have him dictate where to isolate if he wanted to, but also keep spacing for the weak-side triangle. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA set with multiple scoring actions. The ballscreen and then immediate flare action for the 2 man is tough to guard, then you get a second side roll and replace action for your pg. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother good 1/2 court set run against the 2-3 Zone by the Michigan Wolverines. This set utilizes the ball screen as the 3 looks to get in the paint and force rotation situations from the back defenders The Wolverines ran this set effectively and what makes this even more dangerous is the 3 pt shooting ability of Stauskas on the wing spotting up See More
