Favorite Send to FastDrawXavier runs a nice Horns Set with weakside action to occupy the defense to get a Wing PNR setup. The look to the flare action is key, and then turning to execute a DHO and Pick & Roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother excellent play from the Wichita State playbook, this coming late in the 2nd half against Notre Dame. It's a double high ballscreen, with 5 setting first and a shooting 3 setting the second screen. In defending this play, because x3 stays attached to his man, x5 has to stop penetration and x2 has to pull in to bump 5 on the roll. This leaves the 2 open in the corner for a throwback 3, which was no problem for a talented PG like VanVleet to find. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a little slip action that can be used as part of your secondary break or as an option in your motion offense. It can serve as a counter action if your set a lot of wing ball screens with the first post that arrives. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGeorgia ran this action out of a Forwards Out set against the Spartans in the round of 64. There is a lot of good action here, but it is ultimately designed to set up a quick spread pick and roll that can de extremely difficult to guard with multiple shooters on the floor. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGeorgetown ran this 4 around 1 set throughout their Round 2 matchup with Eastern Washington. The Hoyas used several different variations of the set utilizing the similar setup but unpredictable result. The action pictured is the base set. Dribble handoffs, double screens, flare screens, and back screens were all used out of this based set. Georgetown uses a 4 out 1 in look almost every possession and can run this set with interchangeable perimeter players. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawCincinnati ran this Horns set 3-4 times throughout the first half against Purdue. The goal of this set is to create mismatches either on the Pick & Roll with replace action, or to force the defensive bigs to switch and then post up on the mismatch created. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawVCU used this ball screen action late in their loss to Ohio State in Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament. VCU got the look they were looking for with 3 shooters spread around the perimeter but due to a bad pass and off balance shot they did not score. VCU gave Ohio State trouble the entire game using similar actions to get their guards paint touches. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawShaka Smart used this spread look that he called "5" from the sidelines against Ohio State when they went to a 2-3 zone in the 2nd half have of their Round 2 matchup. At this point in the game VCU was playing with no true post against the OSU zone. Utilizing a high ball screen on the top of the zone, VCU was able to attack the middle with little resistance. When the guard stepped down to help Doug Brooks hit multiple 3's from the 2 position in the offense. Ohio State switched back to man after the barrage of Brooks 3's following middle penetration from VCU guards. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawVCU used these secondary break actions successfully in their NCAA matchup with Ohio State. Defending actions requires great awareness and communication by all five defenders, and the Rams were able to catch OSU sleeping to hit a early 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOhio State ran this modified flex vs. VCU after setting it up with multiple possessions of their basic horns set. After using misdirection, the VCU defender is expecting a second misdirection screen but the 1 only uses one ball screen taking him to the wing. The help side defenders are also anticipating a guard attack or post dive to the paint. This action allows the ball handler and the cutter (flex) the entire side of the floor to work with. During this particular set the flex cut was covered and the ball was sent to the 2 coming off of a stagger screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawEarly offense from the VCU Rams during 1st half action vs. Ohio State. VCU used the action successfully on 5+ occasions during the 1st half. This set has multiple options but was used by the Rams to occupy help side defenders during the ball screen action. Ohio State had issues defending this with VCU getting multiple paint touches and open 3's. Ohio State when zone partly as a result of this action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOhio State Horns Basic. The Buckeyes used this set early in Round 2 action vs. VCU. This simple horns action served as an entry in to more complex horns sets. The buckeyes scored multiple ways out of this in the 1st half. Easy looks for them included a 15 ft. pull up jump shot and an easy dump down to the roll man to avoid aggressive ball screen defense from the Rams. See More
