About This Play/Drill

Things I Learned During NBA Training Camp. This drill was spotted during the Los Angeles Lakers Training Camp for the 2014-15 season.

  • Basketball Play - LA Lakers 3 Man Passing (Conditioning Fast Break and Passing Drill)

  • Basketball Play - LA Lakers 3 Man Passing (Conditioning Fast Break and Passing Drill)
  • The drill starts out as a 3 man passing full court drill that many teams do. When getting the full length of the court one left side man finishes with a lay up, the right side man gets the rebound and the center lane player runs to the right corner to tag a coach.
  • On the return, the lay up man takes the right lane, the rebound man now runs the center lane and the center man who tagged the coach is now in the left lane for a left hand lay up coming back down court.
  • This could be modified so that there are groups of 3 on each baseline, so that when one group makes 3 trips, every player attempted a lay-up and they end up on the opposite baseline so that the next group of 3 can begin. Check out the video!
