  • Basketball Play - Mustang Drill

The drill runs for two minutes and we will try to make a total of 70 lay-ups during that time period without dribbling the basketball. After every pass, the passer replaces the player to whom they passed the basketball.

We will have two players under each basket, a player out of bounds on each side of half court along the same sideline, two players between the half court and free throw circles and a player even with them opposite the sideline where our two players are standing out of bounds.

The drill begins on the whistle with #'s 1 and 6 passing ahead to #'s 3 and 8 respectively. #'s 3 and 8 will then pass ahead to #'s 4 and 9 respectively. #'s 4 and 9 will make the pass leading to a made lay-up for #'s 5 and 10. #'s 2 and 7 will take the ball out of the net once the player shooting the lay-up clears the basket.
