Green Bay Horns Big
01/24/2015Green Bay needed a score in a huge Horizon League contest down 1 against Valpo. They used pre-season POY #24 Keifer Sykes as a decoy to free up their second best player in Greg Mays. Ball was entered to Mays who received a 5 man ball screen so he could drive it hard to his right hand. With him putting so much pressure on the defense with the drive, it allowed the 5 man great rebounding position if he would have missed the shot. See More

12/13/2013While playing around on the FastDraw iPad app this morning I actually ended up drawing a post-up play that I really like. This play is most effective with proper timing. 5 should be coming off the backscreen from 4 and 1 as 3 is receiving the pass. If X1 or X4 double down to help on the catch, look to quickly kick the ball out for a shot. See More

Rick Carlisle does an excellent job of recognizing the strengths of the players that he has on the floor and taking advantage of those strengths. In this play sequence Jason Kidd is the (1), JET Jason Terry is the (2), Shawn Marion is the (3), Dirk is the (4), and Tyson Chandler is the (5). Badger Shot Clock Triple
05/10/2013Legendary Wisconsin coach Dick Bennett recently shared this late shot clock play at the HoopsU Coaching Academy in Minneapolis. Instead of the standard high flat on ball screen, Coach Bennett ran this play to get his 2 man open to make a play. After the initial cut many options are available. 3 can cut after screening, 5 can screen and post, and 4 could set quick run out on ball screen for 1. This is a super alternative to the late game sets usually run in this situation. See More
