Favorite Send to FastDrawWe use these drills to prepare for "floppy" actions - a double screen and single screen, double screens, and backdoor looks. Players need to identify these looks and be prepared on how to defend these actions See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawJaguar is a play coming out of a high post offense, where the ball looks to go inside for a backdoor initially. If that backdoor is taken away, the set quickly expands to get two three point shooters open looks, taking advantage of how tightly the defense constricted around the lane to take away the initial backdoor. Favorite Send to FastDrawFloppy set that leads to a backdoor cut. Time it up so as 5 steps to the elbow 4 is pinning for 3 so the help side defense is occupied allowing 5 to hit 2 with the backdoor pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was ran by the USA U19 Women's team in the finals vs. France. This set uses a UCLA screen to set up a floppy which turns into a staggered screen for the point guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA part of the flare into side out series. Very simple but effective action for a good shooter. 2 has to make a good read on the flare. Anytime you can backscreen a shooter into a floppy action it becomes much harder to guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis year the Washington Wizards didn't have a successful win-loss percentage, but when their best lineup was in healthy, their offense was very potent. Coach Randy Wittman used the "Zipper Triple Flare" as an action to free up his shooters on the perimeter and give John Wall the ability to read the play both with and without the ball. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Miami Heat ran this set for Ray Allen against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. They curled him around a double screen, to create seperation. Once Allen gets to the middle of the paint he slows down and re-evaluates where the defense is and can choose to turn around and run off a stagger or continue and run off the single. Against the Pacers he ran off the single which happened to be Lebron James who dove to the rim after setting his screen. See More
