This year the Washington Wizards didn't have a successful win-loss percentage, but when their best lineup was in healthy, their offense was very potent. Coach Randy Wittman used the "Zipper Triple Flare" as an action to free up his shooters on the perimeter and give John Wall the ability to read the play both with and without the ball.
Box set with shooters down on the blocks. Zipper entry from Wall (1) to Beal (2).
Triple Screen for Wall, who catches the pass as he comes through to the opposite wing.
Nene (5) flare for Beal while Okafor (4) pins down on Webster (3) to pop to the corner. The primary option is to hit Beal off the flare on the empty side. Wall can also isolate up top and take his defender one-on-one to the rim.
