Favorite Send to FastDrawStagger screen for either of your best shooters. If 5 man helps too much on the screen, make sure to look inside for the slip instead of screen and space. In frame 3 you can see the spacing and how 5, 3 and 1 spread the floor. If you have more coaches you can have 3 take the shot off the curl and have a coach make two passes to 1 or add another coach and have one coach pass to 1 and another coach pass to 2. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSet a simple pindown on the weakside to get a shooter a shot from a SLOB. 4 waits until 1 catches, then pins 2. With the weakside triangle set there is a strong side two man game. After 2 catches, 4 can set a step up screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSideline out of bounds play from a box set. Instead of zippering 1, 4 down screens 2. 2 passes to 5 at the elbow and gets a hand off from 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Butler University set is from the 2010-2011 season, which was frequently ran for Zach Hahn (2) and Matt Howard (4). See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that can be run for continuity with a stagger screen going on each time it is run. This is a great play to get a 3 point play for your 3 man, but it can be an even more effective ISO for 2 if the ball is thrown to him as he pulls across the lane. Because of the stagger going on the opposite side of the floor, the help side should be occupied and 2 can have a good chance to attack and create. Another option that could be open is 4 slipping to the basket after setting his top part of the stagger screen. If his man hedges hard to help on 3 popping to the wing, you could have a good look at 4 slipping to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis year the Washington Wizards didn't have a successful win-loss percentage, but when their best lineup was in healthy, their offense was very potent. Coach Randy Wittman used the "Zipper Triple Flare" as an action to free up his shooters on the perimeter and give John Wall the ability to read the play both with and without the ball. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick hitter that can be run effectively against man to man so long as the offense reads the defense correctly. The effectiveness of this play lies in the screen the screener action that occurs between 2 and 3. 2 will always curl this screen looking to score, if 3's defender helps on 2, 1 should look to hit 3 in the short corner for a shot oppertunity. Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's FastDraw Play of the Day is a Half-Court Box Set ran by the Illinois Fighting Illini during the 2012-13 season. Use this set to get an open 3 when your opponent is really exaggerating their weak side help. This set will result in an open 3pt shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Atlanta Dream ran this set a couple times in their 78-77 win over the CT Sun 6/23. After the cross screen 2 would come off a double or elevator. You can move your personel around to get them the ball in different spots by starting with a small on big cross screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another late shot clock play that was run in Calipari's first year at Kentucky. This set is a good one to run if you have a point guard that can create off the dribble and a post that can dominate inside. Very quick and easy action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitting play for 5. 3 uses double screen from 2-4 and catches on the right wing. 2-4 continue across the lane and double screen for 5. 5 cuts low and catches in the paint to score. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play that John Calipari ran in his first year at Kentucky. This was a great set for that team because of where it placed their extremely talented players. You had 5 (Cousins) in the post, 1 (John Wall) attacking off the ball screen, and 2 (Eric Bledsoe) coming off of the stagger. They would run this at the end of the shot clock to get a good look. Favorite Send to FastDraw"Off" is another great set to run as a counter if your team has an offense that incorporates the Iverson cut. One of the strongest parts of this set the spacing and the opportunities that the offense has as a result. 5 ducking in hard in front of the rim is a great option and 2 has a lot of room to create coming off of the ball screen. This is a great way to get a good look while giving your players a good amount of freedom. See More
