Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play Va Tech used in the first half of their game vs. Florida. The play uses a back screen by a shooting guard on a post player at the top of the key forcing the guard's defender to help on the lob and then have to fight through a DHO to get back to a shooter. A great play design by coach Mike Young. FastModel's biggest offer of the year for new subscribers! Use code at checkout: MARCHMADNESS See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTriangle Stack Set: Play starts with the 4 coming up to set a dummy ball screen on the 1. The 3 clears to the corner early and the 1st option is the 5 man coming off the 2 screen around the block area. If 5 man is not open, 4 then sets a screen for the screener for a shot at the top of the key. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is KU's go to play to overload and isolate a post player for a lay-up or dunk. The play begins in a diamond alignment and the 2 comes off the deep pindown by the 5. On 2's catch, the 4 sprints to set a fake ball screen to clear out the weak side help and pull his defender away from a potential double team. The guard then throws the lob pass over the top of the defense for a dunk or easy lay-in. The 3 and 1 must stay above the FT line to occupy the help defense on the weak side. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOne of the two base offenses for the Aces is this simple baseline cross set. The spacing and the left side entry take advantage of the Aces' personnel, as their point guard (Kelsey Plum) and 5 (A'Ja Wilson) are both left handed. The set starts with both wings crossing under the rim off brush pindowns from 4 and 5, followed by a wing entry and an immediate post feed. There are several subsequent options that allow the Aces to get great looks at the basket. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Cleveland Cavs ran this play late in the 3rd quarter of their season opening game against the New York Knicks. The double back screen creates a look for 3 in the post. x5 has to help on the screen which gives an opportunity for 5 popping up top for a 3 off of the pindown screen. This can be especially effective when utilizing a 5 with shooting range, which the Cavs have with Channing Frye. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawETSU ran this Horns set to get a look inside to their 5. 5 sets up his post up with a pindown screen for 3 and a baseline screen for 2. A key to the postup is for 5 to immediately seal his man after setting the baseline screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawButler uses this as their go-to play to get the into the post. The cross screen frees up 4 to get the ball and create a shot in a isolation situation. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Ohio State Buckeyes used this play to try to get a post up in the first half of their NCAA Tournament game against South Dakota State. The first option was to look for 5 in the post then 2 coming off of the down screen. In this play 1's defender played off of 1 to take the pass into the post away. 1 made him pay by hitting the open three point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTexas Tech runs this play to get the ball to their star player Jarrett Culver (3). The Red Raiders will run him off of baseline screens to get him open for a shot on either side of the floor. If he can't get open on the baseline 3 will cut up top for the pass. They will then go back to their motion principles with 4 & 5 will setting flare screens for the guards. 3 can read the play and make the pass to either cutter or screener. If the ball goes to 4 or 5 they will then go into a side pick and roll. Blog Post: Texas Tech Defense Puts Opponents on Red Alert See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTennessee starts this action out of the Floppy set to get a post up off of the high low action. This puts 5's defender in a situaiton where they have to defend multiple actions and even step out on the perimeter before 5 ducks in for a post up. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
