The Dallas Mavericks were tied with 4.1 seconds left in the 2017 Orlando NBA Summer League championship game and unable to advance the ball to the front court with a timeout. They ran this play to get 1 the ball on the run to get a look at a shot. The Pistons defended this by not playing x4 on the ball and keeping him at halfcourt to shadow the ball handler. This slowed down 1, but he was still able to get off a shot as time expired.
- 3 and 2 cross each other and cut to the opposite corners. 1 cuts to the ball to receive the pass from 4
- 1 dribbles up the court looking to create a shot.
