Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a Secondary Offense set the Washington Wizards would run if they felt they had a mismatch in the post with Nene. John Wall would push Nene, the trailer, backdoor, which indicated to the rim runner that he should raise and set a ballscreen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis 1-4 High Offense set produces an open three pointer in the corner for a good shooter off a misdirection action. There is enough spacing on the weak side so that if the play breaks down the player with the ball can react to the defense and attack the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Utah Jazz ran this Elbow-UCLA action into a modified flex pindown versus the Indiana Pacers this morning during the final day of the Orlando NBA Summer League. The key to this play having your 1 man slow down enough for his defender to think to help on the screen and then shoot off the pin down, creating space. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a play run at one time by the Dallas Mavericks in their 2011 NBA Championship run. The plan was to get Dirk and Kidd in a ballscreen read situation where Dirk could isolate at one of two spots on the floor and have proper spacing around him. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is the best stuff from the San Antonio Spurs in their 4-0 series sweep over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference Finals. There are quite a few plays as I wanted to be able to give you the Spurs playbook of their most successful actions and offensive sets. Favorite Send to FastDrawI am sure I have posted this play in the past but it is one of my favorites so I wanted to post it again! The Golden State Warriors went to this action in the 1st Half of Game 4 versus the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. This elbow set into a flex action is very popular in the NBA; Stan Van Gundy ran it religiously in Orlando. While us coaches are all very familiar with the Flex, I have learned recently that many young players today are not familiar with how to run the play NOR guard it. In my opinion, if you have two great scorers on the floor, this is a very difficult action to guard. The defense has to respect the flex cut give up a lay-up. Then by pinning down on the screener, the defense must make a decision how to guard and if they over-react the big will be open slipping to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOn first ball reversal from 1, 4, to 3, players shift into different positions on the floor. On ball reversal from 3 to 1, 4 and 2 exchange on right side as 3 uses flex screen to post up in lane. 4 to 3 pass creates one on one scoring opportunity for 3. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night during crunch time of Game 1 of the NBA Playoff Semi-Finals, the San Antonio Spurs were in a Need 3 situation versus the Golden State Warriors. Verteran Head Coach Gregg Popovich knew just the play to run. The Spurs executed this flex'ish screen the screener play to perfection to open up Danny Green for a 3-pointer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick hitter that is run out of a box set and involves a little misdirection. In this play, 2 is your best shooter and you are looking for multiple opportunities for him to get the ball in a scoring position whether it be off of the flex cut, or off of the pin down from 4. If this play is executed properly, it could be a great asset to add to your offensive arsenal. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawI really like this set as a way to get you into a Flex series and also as a way to manage the clock. It gives you two different backscreen options and flows into a FLEX offense look. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play that is run from a low stack set. This is a great set to run to get you some good looks at the basket before you get into your motion offense. This is a great set because it gets you multiple looks for shots around the basket, as well as an option for a three pointer on the weak side of the floor. See More
