Favorite Send to FastDrawWheel Stagger Punch is designed to use multiple actions that will cause multiple mismatch situations. Primary option being a double stagger screen to get a post up for a bigger guard. The guard posting will have the opportunity to score or facilitate out of the post. Great ATO set. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a SLOB to get into the flex offense. The flex offense has stood the test of time. Every year I've been a head coach we've had a BLOB, SLOB or set play option for the flex offense. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a set play to create a driving lane, but there are plenty of options before the driving lane. You can score on the back screen, the stagger screen, or even the second stagger screen. Many options, but if none of those hit, you have the clear out to explore. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn today’s diagram and embedded video we look at a set play to use against zone defense. This set uses an overload and drag dribbles to create a corner three-point attempt for one of your shooters. Favorite Send to FastDraw1 pitches the ball ahead and again the 2 looks to reverse the ball to the trailing 4 man. The difference is that after the 1 hits the 2 (or goes DHO with the 2) the 1 fills the strong side corner. The 4 will then reverse the ball to the 3 on the weak side. The 5 then steps to set a screen on the 2 for the slice cut (a great opportunity to post a strong guard). After setting the screen for the 2 and after reversing the ball to the 3, the 5 and 4 then set a double staggered screen for the 1 and wheel action is initiated. As the 1 receives the pass, the 5 and 4 continue to screen the 2 who looks for the shot off the second double staggered. To close the play the 4 cross screens for the 5 and post up action can ensue or an SPNR. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTony Bennett is a rising star in the ranks of DI Coach's. The Cavaliers get a lot of credit for their number ranked defense, but their offense is like a machine running smoothly throughout the 40:00 of action. This Motion Offense utilizes the flare screen to keep the wheel moving as the Cavs look for either an open shooter or take advantage of penetration opportunities. The Cavaliers have it rolling and next up is Michigan State in the Sweet 16!! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMonty Williams runs this play for the New Orleans Pelicans to get Ryan Anderson a good three point attempt by rubbing his defender off him with a decoy action. On the wheel route run by Gordon off of Anderson, Anderson's defender is forced to sag off and let Gordon's defender thru, thus giving Anderson the perfect lane to pop back to the three point arc. Favorite Send to FastDrawTemple ran this set at 17:20 in the first half against Iowa. In contrast to the common Wheel action involving consecutive stagger screens, Temple switches things up and sets an elevator screen instead of a second stagger. I also like the first option of the play with 3 coming off a rip screen, giving him two different scoring options on the play. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawMiami used this play against Wichita State to get an open lob at the rim. The wheel action cleared out the lane opening up the lob pass. See More
