Favorite Send to FastDrawMinnesota Gophers - Pin Down Flare PNR
04/10/2018This play by Richard Pitino is a great misdirection set. It really tries to test the defensive team on the backside of the flare screen coverage. If the flare screen support is too much, defenders will be late on ball screen support. This became a money play with Minnesota down the stretch. The big that sets the ball screen can also slip it. If the defensive team stunts at the ball screen too hard, it is best to have a best shooter (3) on the strong side of the ball screen (the player who just came off the flare). Favorite Send to FastDrawVirtus Bologna - 3 Down - Low Post Iso
04/10/2018Coach Alessandro Ramagli, Head Coach Virtus Bologna in the Italian A League, runs this set to use his combo guard Alessandro Gentile in the low post. It allows Gentile to finish at the rim or to attract traps. Gentile can pass the ball out for a 3pt look, or to Marcus Slaughter (5) hiding on the baseline. Click for more international XsOs! Favorite Send to FastDrawLoyola Chicago - Elbow PNR
03/22/2018Loyola Chicago runs this elbow action to get its 4 the ball to attack in a middle ball screen. 1 passes to 4 at the elbow then screens for 3. 3 cuts to the weak side leaving 1 as the only player on the right side of the floor, forcing his defender to provide help on 5 rolling to the basket. 4 looks to create a shot for himself, pass to 5 on the roll to the basket or hit 1 filling behind the play on the wing. If 1 gets the ball, he can look at 5 in the post or create a shot off the dribble. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLoyola Chicago - DHO PNR Double
03/22/2018This play was #9 on the most downloaded plays of 2018! Check out the full list and download the playbook: The Top 25 Plays of 2018 The Ramblers set up this ball screen action with a dribble handoff for 2. 2 then dribbles off the double ball screen from 4 and 5 to the other side of the floor. By having 1 in the corner, this puts x1 (usually the smallest defender) in a position to provide help on 5 rolling to the basket. If 5 isn't available, 2 can reverse the ball back up top to 4 to create a play. On the FMS blog: Loyola Chicago - Ball Screen Offense Breakdown See More
