Basketball Play - Horns Ball Screen - Roll/Pop Into Duck & Pins

Horns Ball Screen - Roll/Pop Into Duck & Pins

Matt Hackenberg 01/06/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the horns alignment. The horns ball screen, rolling and popping, creates great 4 around 1 spacing for the high/low. I like the flow of the play after the high/low look, using the DHO to set up action on both sides. I would bet that at least one of the sides isn't defended properly after the high/low action. Basketball Play - Box Chicago Flare SLOB

Box Chicago Flare SLOB

Matt Hackenberg 12/15/2021

In this diagram and video clip we see a SLOB with a good amount of movement from a box alignment. I like the Chicago action for the DHO, and how the ball changes from side to side to set up the flare. Basketball Play - "21" High Ball Screen Attack

"21" High Ball Screen Attack

Matt Hackenberg 12/14/2021

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a simple ball screen concept. We used this when we had two attacking guards we wanted to keep out front, allowing them to create by using a ball screen or rejecting into the gap. We wanted to keep shooters in the corners as much as possible. For as simple as the cocnept was, it was fairly effective against good competition. We started to add other options to make the offense less predictable with the zip and DHO options. Video clips below. Basketball Play - 5 Out Circle Motion ("Tennessee")

5 Out Circle Motion ("Tennessee")

Matt Hackenberg 12/09/2021

The Circle Motion is an easy offense to implement and provides opportunities to score from screening and cutting. The simplicity is what I like about the offense the most. The diagrams break down a lot of the details of how to execute the offense, and the embedded video shows what the options look like at game speed. I wrote a 30 page detailed breakdown of this offense and it is available for purchase on my sellfy: https://sellfy.com/coachhack.go/p/ten... Basketball Play - Loyola Chicago Ramblers - Delay Scissor Screen

Loyola Chicago Ramblers - Delay Scissor Screen

Matt Wheeler 03/26/2021

This play is a variation of the stagger DHO that the Ramblers run. 1 will fake setting the stagger, then cut back to use the screen from 4 before getting the handoff from 5. It's a great counter to catch the defense off balance once they have run the stagger screen a few times. FastModel's biggest offer of the year for new subscribers!
