Basketball Play - Box Double

Box Double

Bert DeSalvo 01/18/2013

This box set was run by Iowa State against Kansas (1-9-13) at the 15:20 minute mark of the first half. It is a simple box set, with a double screen. This can be used effectively when using it after previous box sets have been executed in BLOB situations. See More

Basketball Play - X - America's Play 2012-13

X - America's Play 2012-13

Michael Bowden 01/17/2013

There is a new "America's Play" for the season of 2012-13. This set has been growing in frequency all season long. This is such a simple set to put in if you have either a dominant post player or a knock down shooter. The set can also flow into an on ball screen offense or a 2 man game. We have seen this set from UVA, UNC, Towson, Delaware, St. Joes, George Mason, Hartford, FSU, Brown and Virginia Tech. This shows you that all difference conferences with different offensive philosophies are running this set to get a quality shot. The video attached shows you the different alignments you can start the set with from a 1-4 high, Pinch, Box, or even starting with a guard over/under movement (Iverson cut). See More

Basketball Play - Vegas Double--Three Point Special

Vegas Double--Three Point Special

Randy Brown 01/16/2013

This multi-purpose set can be run to end the half, game or to get an open three any time. 1 makes UCLA cut to the basket. 2 dribble to top and reverses ball to 4. 2 and 5 set double screen for 1 for shot as 3 fades to the left corner. If shot is not open, 1 hits 2 on the wing who dumps down into the post to 5. The secondary action will guarantee the ball will end up in the post for a score. See More

Basketball Play - Ohio State's 4 man STS

Ohio State's 4 man STS

Kyle Brown 01/15/2013

Another really good set from Ohio State's game vs Michigan. The key to this play is the 4 man tight curling the flare and immediately going into the cross screen with 5. That way he can create seperation for himself when 1 downscreens for him. Although they finished the play with 1 coming out on the baseline side, this play could also easily finish in another Cross Screen for the 5 See More
