Favorite Send to FastDrawI love this drill because it works on several components of improvement all at once: Ball Handling: Force your players out of their comfort zone and to dribble lower and quicker each time, that is the only way to improve Footwork: Creating space and finishing with the least amount of dribbles Finishing Through/Over/Around the Defense: This drill consists of a multiple of different types of shots and finishes that are great to add to your players' repertoire. Favorite Send to FastDrawMonty Williams uses this play to get Ryan Anderson, a stretch 4, a three point opportunity coming off an elevator screen. They fake posting Anderson on the block and then dart him up through an elevator/ off a double screen to hit the open trey. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawUCONN Women's Basketball Coach Geno Auriemma uses this play on occasion to free up a shooter and a post for good looks at a shot. While the PG isolates and dribbles on the wing there is a lot of misdirection action in traffic near the paint. I like to think of this play a little bit like an off-centered Triple Screen that leads into a post cross screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPG comes off 4. 4 twists and rescreens for PG and then quickly rolls almost leaving before the screen is set. 5 cleans it up to set a double ballscreen. PG attacks the ballscreen. After setting the 2nd ballscreen 5 rolls hard down the middle of the lane. 4 fills behind looking for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great series of moves for your players to work on to attack the rim from halfcourt while making multiple moves around defenders. It is important that the players try to go as fast and stay as low as possible to keep the ball low. Adding a coach with a pad at the rim forces them to finish strong through contact. Each move (Frame) should be completed with a right hand and left hand finishes before moving to the next set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast season in Cleveland, Byron Scott ran this play so he could get Kyrie coming off a re-screen action and to let Dion Waiters have the chance to work in isolation at the top of the key. When the Cavs would go small and put Wayne Ellington at the 3, defenses would have a tough time chasing their shooters off the perimeter and wrestling in the post against Thompson and Speights. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play has been a staple for years with any team that has Steve Nash at the point. In Phoenix, both Mike D'Antoni and Alvin Gentry ran this as a quick-hitter to get the ball into the post for an easy layup or dunk. Nash would set a screen for either Amare Stoudemire or Marcin Gortat and free them up at the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's play is a Stagger Pick and Roll set used to give your team a few options against the defense. It is very important that your players see the floor as there will be three different options happening at once. Your best shooter should start with the ball at the top of the key. If you have post players who can shoot well from the outside, this play will use them as a decoy to open up the key on the pick and roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that can be run for continuity with a stagger screen going on each time it is run. This is a great play to get a 3 point play for your 3 man, but it can be an even more effective ISO for 2 if the ball is thrown to him as he pulls across the lane. Because of the stagger going on the opposite side of the floor, the help side should be occupied and 2 can have a good chance to attack and create. Another option that could be open is 4 slipping to the basket after setting his top part of the stagger screen. If his man hedges hard to help on 3 popping to the wing, you could have a good look at 4 slipping to the basket. See More
