Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is a basline inbounds play (BLOB) that is a 1-4 high variation of "Twist" that I posted some time ago. This play can be run well against a man-to-man inbounds defense as opposed to the 1-4 low formation the play usually uses. Favorite Send to FastDrawSyracuse ran this double pick & roll to get forward C.J. Fair posted up in an iso situation. By setting a stagger for 2, the Orange essentially cleared out any help defense for the isolation. For every play Syracuse ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my eBook, “Championship Execution”. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a simple 4-across set that can be used to get multiple looks at a 3pt shot See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the 1-4 high version of a previous baseline inbounds play (BLOB) that I posted called "Down". If a team likes to play man-to-man on BLOBs, we can run this variation from a 1-4 high formation as opposed to the 1-4 low formation that we would typically run. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Wichita State Shockers ran this pick & roll flare (post-up) play towards the end of the 1st half in their 3rd round NCAA tournament game vs Kentucky. By spacing your shooters 2 and 3 in the corners you create a three-man game in which there is minimal help-the helper defense to allow for 4 and 5 to work together in the hi-low. To see EVERY play Wichita State ran in the 2013 Final Four you can do so in my eBook Championship Execution! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts by swinging the wings as 1 dribbles to right wing. On ball reversal to 2, 1 cuts through the lane to left corner. This action sets up a down screen by 4 on 3 to free him in the middle of the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFranklin Pierce converted this EOH Pick and Pop 3pt shot with 7.2 seconds remaining on the clock vs. Uni. of New Haven (1-18-14) in Northeast-10 Play. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAlbany ran this set in their opening round win in the NCAA Tournament. This set creates multiple opportunities for shooters to come off stagger screens looking for 3pt shots. The final option of the play is a ball screen that creates a 4 out 1 in situation. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDowling College MBB ran this scissors cutting action vs. LIU Post on 2/15/14. Coaches can mix up this set by changing the cutting action or changing who accepts the handoff. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts with invert action by 2-3 screening to release 4-5. 1 follows pass for hand-off and 4 cuts high to lift his defender up the floor. This sets up a staggered 2-3 screen for 5. 5 cuts to open right post area to catch and score. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick ball screen misdirection set that Mount St. Mary's ran last night in their first round game against Albany. This is a great set because it gives action going both to the hoop and out hte back side as well. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLarry Johnson, Head Women's Basketball Coach, used this set in the 2010-11 season to free up a quick guard cutting off the backscreen. If the cutter gets help from screeners man, then the backscreener has a 3pt FGA. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawViriginia ran this quick hitter in the ACC Championship game against Duke on Sunday. Virginia runs this set looking to get one of their guards a backdoor cut at the basket. UVA does a great job in their motion offense staying patient and looking for great shot on each possession. Their patience and hard cuts will leave the defense suseptible to backdoor cuts. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa State ran this Zone Set against Baylor in the B12 Conference Championship game. Iowa State ran this set to get Melvin Ejim to get a 3pt shot at the top of the key. The Iowa State big men have to set a great screen on the top of the zone to allow Ejim to get shot off. See More
