We use a lot of ball screens in our basic offensive movement to create advantages for easy scoring opportunities. Here is a simple Box Set alignment that utilitizes downscreens and cross screens to get the defense moving before setting the ball screen at the top of the key.
Box Set
1 dribbles to the wing. 2 runs a zipper cut to catch the ball at the top of the key.
On 2's catch, 5 sets a downscreen for 3.
2 passes to 3
After 2 passes to 3 4 man sets a backscreen for 2.
2 can come off 5's baseline screen.
1 spaces to ballside corner.
4 goes from setting the backscreen to setting a ballscreen for 3.
In the diagram their is a roll and replace action, but their could also be a pick & pop with a duck in.
