The Mercury run a lot of post up actions for their posts. Wth this play they put the 5 in the high post to make a pass first but if the 1 isn't open on the cut then you get into the DHO between the 5 and 3. The down screen action is there to have an option but mainly this play is for the 5 post up. Video clip below.

1 Passes to the 5 then the 1 cuts to the corner
5 runs DHO with the 3 -
4 sets the down screen for the 2
3 passes to the 1
1 passes to the 5 for the post up
