1 will hit the 2 and make a UCLA cut off of 4 to the right black.
Instead off cutting off the weak side, 1 will cut back up the lane and set a back screen on the 4's defender. The 4 will cut to the post as 1 pops high to will then look for the 4 to feed the post.

If the pass is denied, 2 can hit 1 at the top for a shot or the high-low pass to the 4
