The Liberty Flames run this play to get their 5 (Blake Preston) isolated in the post. In this situation, the Oklahoma State defender is fronting the post. There is no weakside help so 1 is able to lob the pass over the top into 5. Liberty will run this play even if the x5 defender plays behind in the post. It's still a good play then because 5 is isolated and able to attack one on one.
