There is a lot to like about the Vancouver Island women's team. After studying some of their games during the 2019-2020 season I saw they can play in a variety of ways. They space the floor and drive double and triple creates. The early action to create those gaps and the discipline to maintain spacing makes them hard to guard. Here is a look at some action they use in their early offense. In this particular video they are under 10 seconds for the quarter so it is also useful to get quick looks in short seconds.

Vancouver Island Early Offense:
1. 4 runs x4 off 5's UCLA screen & clears opposite corner
2. 2 begins to lift from corner
3. 5 goes to ball screen

1. 1 does a great job of getting x1 inside 5's screen & explodes off it getting deep into the paint.
2. 2 lifts even higher

3. 3 attacks on the catch and they are playing off it if 3 can't score.
