About This Play/Drill

The Aces use this BLOB to get an open layup or short jumper. Because Kayla McBride commands so much attention, the first option (Lindsay Allen or Kelsey Plum) is usually the one getting the majority of the looks. This is because the help defense is consumed with making sure McBride doesn't get a layup, and they often leave the 1 open under the basket.

  • 3 takes the ball out

    4 and 5 are stacked on ball side elbow

    1 and 2 are shoulder to shoulder on the weak side elbow facing the baseline.

    2 screens for 1, who cuts around 4/5 faux double screen

    3's first option is to enter to 1 for a layup

  • After screening for 1, 2 busts off 4/5 double stagger to receive the ball from 3 for a short shot or layup.
