Texas Tech runs this play to get the ball to their star player Jarrett Culver (3). The Red Raiders will run him off of baseline screens to get him open for a shot on either side of the floor. If he can't get open on the baseline 3 will cut up top for the pass. They will then go back to their motion principles with 4 & 5 will setting flare screens for the guards. 3 can read the play and make the pass to either cutter or screener. If the ball goes to 4 or 5 they will then go into a side pick and roll.

3 has the choice to cut off of screens from 4 or 5.
1 passes to 2 and looks for 3 off the screen from 5.
If 3 isn't open, he can cut off the screen from 4.
2 passes to 1.
1 looks for 3.
3 can also cut to the top receive the pass from 1 or 2.
When 3 has the ball up top 4 & 5 set flare screens for 1 & 2.
If 1 & 2 aren't open. 3 passes to 4 or 5.
2 cuts back to the wing to receive the pass from 5.
2 dribbles off the ball screen from 5.
4 cuts to the basket.
3 cuts away for spacing.
