Cheryl Reeve runs this play with the Minnesota Lynx to punish inattentive perimeter players on the weak side of the floor. By precisely spacing players along the perimeter, several open shots are presented through the duration of a possession when this play is run.
- 1 makes wide dribble entry to wing. 4 down screens for 2 who makes zipper cut along inside of lane. 2 makes catch high above arc.
- 4 pops to catch pass from 2 near elbow. 3 makes a hard face cut to restricted area and seals defender. 4 can pass to 3 on this seal if catch is clean. If not, play progresses.
- 5 sets flare screen for 2. When using flare, 2 must not cut below FT line extended. 4 makes flare pass to 2 on weak side.
