Ohio State opened the second half of their game against South Dakota State with this play designed to attack the Jackrabbits for double-teaming the post. Once 5 receives the post entry pass from 1, x4 double teams him 5. x2 now has to defend both 2 & 4 but was unable to take away the pass to 4 diving to the rim. If x2 was able to take away the pass to 4, 2 would be open on the wing for a three-point shot.
1 dribbles to wing.
3 curls around 5 to ball side corner.
1 passes to 5 in post.
x4 double teams 5 in post.
On double team, 4 dives to basket. This leaves x2 to have to guard 4 and 2.
5 passes to 4 at rim.
