About This Play/Drill

Here is a quick hitter against the zone that St. Louis ran this past season. This is an effective set because of the stress it places on the strong side defender on the block whether or not to stay home or to guard the corner to prevent a 3. If the point guard reads the defender properly, this set should lead to an uncontested lay-up or three point shot. 

  • Basketball Play - Drift
  • Basketball Play - Drift

  • 1 passes the ball to 2

    3 cuts into the middle of the paint

  • 2 throws back to 1

    As 2 passes, 3 cuts to strong side corner

    5 screens the middle defender of the zone x5

    1 looks to hit 4
