About This Play/Drill

A sideline out of bounds by Basketball Champions league winner Iberostar Tenerife. This is an example of an inbound connecting to offense seamlessly (In this case, Spread Ball Screen).

This also demonstrates the TAKE and TWIST concepts.

1 inbounds

2 & 4 hold the far sideline

5 sets flare screen from corner for 3 (mostly false action)
5 separates from the flare to receive the inbound pass
5 catches with a wide base facing the sideline and puts the ball on the platter for 1 to run TAKE action

1 sprints to take the ball

5 and 1 are reading:

If X1 trails, then take & go (drive it)...
If X1 goes under, TAKE and...
5 twists and sets ball screen
5 breaks the defense with the roll

1 looks to get down the lane line with drive (using the small advantage) while reading the defense
