Pro Player David Hicks is in the #DishLab showing you how to use your Dr. Dish All Star to work on developing your quick move from the Elbow, Short Corner, and Wing.
Dish is set up away from the basket on right wing. It is programmed to pass at the elbow and short corner spots. The offensive player will use a curl action to receive the first pass at the elbow. .
The offensive player will then make a quick move and attack the basket finishing at the hoop. After finishing at the hoop the player will pass the basketball back to the Dish's net.
The player will then sprint to the short corner baseline area and the Dish will make the pass to the offensive player.
The player will then make a quick move to the basket once again and finish at the hoop, use a floater or a reverse lay-up. The player will continue to repeat this and switch up the finishing moves each time.
The second part of the drill we will have the Dish set at the top of the key at the three point line. The Dish will make passes to the left/right midrange wing areas.
After the Dish makes the pass to the player on the left mid-range area, the player will make a quick move and and attack the basket. The goal is to catch and make a quick move without hesitating. After scoring the basketball the player will get the rebound and pass the basketball back into the Dish's net at the top of the key.
The player will sprint out to the right mid-range area and the Dish will now rotate and make a pass to that location.
After the player catches the basket ball, they will once again make a quick move to the hoop and will finish with a power lay-up, dunk or floater.
