Back Screen with High Post Entry and Post Up with Curl - FastModel Sports

This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. For this play to be successful you have to have a bigger guard, or a post that can pass from the high post. Your 2 man has to act like he is cutting to the opposite corner and using 5 as a screen. Your 5 has to post hard so he is occupying his defender. You have to make sure that you utilize the weak side flare action so there is no help side defense coming from 4's man when 2 curls.

1. 3 sets a back screen for 5, then 3 pops to the elbow.

1. 1 passes to 3, 5 seals his defender
Option 1 - 3 passes to 5 form high-low.
2. 2 starts cutting towards 5, 1 cuts off of 4's flare screen
Option 2 - 3 passes to 1 for a three point shot.
3. 5 posts up, and 3 curls around 5 back to the rim
Option 3 - 3 passes to 2 for a lay up.
