About This Play/Drill

Eran Ganot is the 21st head coach of the UH men's basketball program. At 33 years old, he is the second youngest to lead the Rainbow Warriors, Bruce O'Neil was 28 years old when he hired and began  his four year head coaching career at UH (1973-76).
 
A former UH assistant coach, Ganot returns to Manoa from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., where he served most recently as the associate head coach; earning runner-up in the West Coast Conference (WCC) standings; making an appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT); and ending the season with a 21-10 record.

The Rainbows have had a solid season and came into the NCAA Tournament believing they could make some noise and that they did by knocking off the PAC 12 opponent Cal on Friday night.

    1 passes to 3 who cuts baseline and zipper cuts off 5 to the TOK

     

    4 steps up and sets a flare screen for 1 who uses the screen to replace 3 on the wing

     

    5 moves up the lane line setting up the next action

     

    2 drifts to the corner

    3 swings the ball to 4 who pops out after setting his flare screen

     

    4 moves the ball to 1 on the wing

     

    5 steps up and on the swing sets a shuffle screen for 3 who uses the screen to cut into the ball side post

    1 passes to 3 in the post

     

    5 & 4 move to set a double stagger screen for 2

  • Hawaii Rainbows - 11:01 of the 2nd half in their 1st round game against Cal

     

    After 1 passes inside to 3, he moves to set an elbow screen for 2 who comes off for the possible kick-out pass and shot
