Dummy screens in the paint can occupy help defense while a backdoor cut occurs. Xavier uses that principle well out of a spread formation, making help defenders far too elevated to snuff out a backdoor.

1 dribbles up the side and barely comes off the ball screen from 4. Half-reversal to 5 at the top of the key

5 pushes 3 thru the lane, and he cuts to seek out 4's defender to lay a potential cross screen on him. 5 continues to dribble toward the wing, and 2 goes backdoor
