Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set is an example of teaching multiple options, out of one SLOB set. The Houston Rockets do this better than any team in the NBA, and it allows them to adjust to whatever adjustments are made by the defense. I have designed the weak side action in this set to remain the same, regardless of the ball side action. This is to simplify the read for the player with the ball. After the shuffle cut, there are three options, which are triggered by the 4-man. The first option is to pass to the wing, and chase into a ballscreen. The second option is a dribble hand off with the wing. The final option is to pass to the wing, and cut to the block. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe strength of this SLOB set is the multiple scoring options. There is an early option for a lay-up, on a shuffle cut. This is followed by back-to-back double stagger screens for shooters. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Warriors ran this play to start the second quarter of Game 4. x5 had to provide help on the backscreen to take away the layup. This got David West (5) wide open for a shot from the FT line. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas State ran this misdirection BLOB in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. On the catch, the 5 dribbles towards the weak side Flare Screen, while the 2 "rips" off of a baseline screen. This BLOB resulted in a wide open three pointer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB has resulted in multiple big shots for the Cleveland Cavs. They ran it for a Kyrie Irving three pointer, in the 2016 NBA Playoffs against Detroit. They also ran it, as an ATO, in the 2017 NBA Playoffs for a game clinching lay-up. The stack formation makes it especially difficult to guard, as the defense can not pre-switch any of the actions. Favorite Send to FastDraw"1-up Pop" is a set that has been featured in our "Plays YOU Can Use" series for ball screen sets, and also for lob sets. It is a typical high ball screen, which features a STS back screen, to get a dunk, or a high low look. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOne of the most brilliant after timeout plays Kerr has run in his time with the Warriors is this back screen set they run for Draymond Green. By using Curry as a screener twice, the Warriors are able to punish teams that pay too much attention to Steph and not enough to their other scorers. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBecause Steve Kerr has the luxury of utilizing some of the best shooters in the world, he runs great actions like this one designed specifically for them. In UCLA Rip, he places two shooters on the same side and runs them in a three-man pattern with Draymond Green at the 4. The screening and attention paid to their shooters helps the backdoor pass from Green be effective -- which is why the two players not involved in the action must be lifted on the opposite side of the floor. Favorite Send to FastDraw"The Hill" is named after Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. At the 2017 TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches) Clinic, there was a "Pass the Chalk" Event. This SLOB was drawn by Greenhill School boys varsity basketball coach, Joey Sims. I have added a double stagger to the end of the set, so that there is a secondary action, if the lob is not available. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Flood" is a secondary break action, which ends with 3 options. The best option is a lob to the trailer, after the backscreen from the 1. The second option is the 1, on the out cut, for a shot. The third option is the 1 passing high/low to the 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Box Special" is a lob set, which we ran regularly at Mid Michigan Community College. If the lob is not available, the back screener out cuts. There is the potential for a shot, or a high/low pass. If X4 helps, then the point guard will be open on the baseline screen. The multiple options to this set made it a great set to run early in games. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Banger" is a lob play, which is designed specifically for a zone defense. The key is for the 5 to sell the flash to the middle, to lift X5 from the middle of the zone. The ball reversals must also be "on time" and "on target." See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran this ATO action against the Washington Wizards in Game 7 of the second round of the 2017 NBA playoffs. This is a wrinkle out of their "5" action: http://www.fastmodelsports.com/library/basketball/fastdraw/151007/play-Boston-Celtics--5 Instead of passing to Isaiah Thomas coming off of the flare screen for a shot, Isaiah cuts through to the opposite side to set a back screen with a down screen option.
