BLOG & PLAYBOOK - Chino Hills Huskies: The Scheme Behind the Ball Brothers
In this embedded video and diagram we look at the half court offense of the 35-0, state championship Chino Hills team of 2015-16. If you're looking for tricky sets, this isn't it. Chino Hills kept it very simple, but got a lot of mileage out of these three simple concepts.

The high ball screen was a primary attack in the half court. Lonzo and Big O had great chemistry. The off the ball spacing was often random, but LaMelo was always camped out the three-point line, and Eli was usually roaming the baseline for a finish or offensive rebound. LiAngelo was either spaced to the three-point line or inside the arc looking to offensive rebound.
Rarely did Lonzo need much help creating. He would commonly blow past his defender to score or create for others. LaMelo and LiAngelo were always ready to shoot, and Big O and Eli were great finishers and offensive rebounders.
In Chino Hills' transition, LiAngelo was usually on the left side. If they couldn't set up the full court pass, LiAngelo usually started a post up anywhere between the block and the three-point line. Once he got the ball, he went to work, with back downs, footwork, fade-aways. If he got it in the mid-post, he was most likely going to shoot it, and Big O and Eli were on the back side ready to clean up a miss.
