The Celtics possess one of the most skilled and interchangeable rosters of the NBA. This post provides several variations of Boston's Push Action. This early offense is designed to create a 2 man game on either side of the court. Rozier, Smart, Brown or Tatum can occupy any perimeter spot. Horford, Morris, Tatum, Baynes or Monroe can play the 4/5 spots. This action creates pick/roll, pick/pop, and drive/kick opportunities.

1 clears 3 to weak side. 2 lifts.
4 drags 1 and rolls.

Option: 2 clears. 3 lifts. 5 sets drag and rolls.

Dribble Out Option:
3 clears 2 lifts.
1 rejects the screen by 4.
5 replaces to top.

Push Option:
5 drags 1 and rolls. 1 hits 4.
3 clears to weak side.
2-4 2 man game.

Push vs Down/Ice Defense:
1 clears 3 to the weak side corner. 2 lifts
4 drags 1 and pops. 5 lifts to top.
