Michigan ran this set, to counter Montana's aggressive traps in the Wolverine's ball screens. This set clears the space behind the ball screen, allowing the screener to pop. Michigan ran this for their best shooter. At the end of the set, the screener can shoot the 3, or make the extra pass for a better shot.
